Synopsis

A huge piece of work. Long but the content was worthy of it! Stand put performance for me was Robert Downey J .
Could not hear dialogue clearly -actors .umbrellas these days so need subtitles especially for complex subject matters
Over-cooked by Hollywood, complex projection of time – over dramatised – best part was the interaction at the start and finish with Albert Einstein.

Very American treatment of the story. No coherent explanation of the background to the troubles which faced Oppenheimer with Congress etc. Sound quality was really bad.
I found it so tedious and needing far more concentration than I was prepared to expend! Intrusive music, hard-to-decipher dialogue sometimes, constant switching between time periods, and the 1hr50 I stayed was more than enough! Sorry
I found the film completely absorbing. Sometimes the speech was a little difficult to hear but that did not detract from the excellence of the film.
The man Oppenheimer was clearly a very conflicted character and that point was so hammered home that it could have been done equally well in half the time. The film was far too long.
Exactly how it was truly well done
Made me think why the Americans admire Trump… not sure why! Fascinating film, psychological too .

Brilliant blockbuster
Brilliant film. Worthy of the many award nominations it has received. Captivating throughout the whole 3 hours (which never dragged).
I was bored
An epic story with excellent visual effects but spoilt by mumbling by principal actors so that I was unable to follow the nuances. This complaint was voiced by others in my vicinity. The lady next to me left at the interval. I will watch the film again on Netflix with sub-titles to gain a better understanding.
Compelling story, splendid location filming and special effects. Shame that dialogue often indistinct which, with rapid swapping between different scenarios, made it a little difficult to follow the narrative detail.
The speaking was often poor and indistinct, so it was very difficult to hear what was being said
Complicated but very interesting.
My only issue was the sound, volume was very loud particularly with the rather strident music score.

It’s an excellent film but unfortunately marred by poor sound quality
I struggled with the muffled diction to start ( volume was fine) Loud background music seemed omnipresent and part of the problem in a film with layers of high impact extra sound. Person in front of me covered her ears at times. So I took a while to engage, but then settled in and became engrossed. Ultimately excellent in film terms.
Loved all the famous actors in disguise
It did take a while to get into with frequent changes of time. However once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed it, superb acting.
I thought overall the film was good but the format was confusing (you really needed to know the story in advance) and there was frequently too much background noise/music which made it difficult to hear the voices which were frequently difficult to hear anyway!
Some sound not easy to hear
I found understanding the flow of speech tricky, meaning I missed some of the dialogue. My personal situation, meaning that the film didn’t match up to expectations.
Thought it was too long and could have been condensed into 2 hours
Brilliant film. Particularly thought provoking in the current climate…
American accents hard to understand making a complicated story even more confusing….opening 10 minutes far too loud.
